I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
